Needed Items & Donation Drop Off Information

You can make a difference by volunteering your time or donating much needed items.  All of the items below are needed to support those we serve.

Items Needed

  • Food (all food is welcome)

  • Toiletries/Personals (including travel sizes)

  • Cleaning Products

  • Feminine Hygiene Products

  • Diapers, baby wipes, formula, and baby food

  • Adult Incontinence Products

  • Grocery Bags

  • Pet Food

  • New hats, gloves, and socks

  • Bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths

  • Bedding, blankets, sheets, and clean pillows

  • Kitchenware and dishes

  • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment): masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and sanitizing wipes

Items with Limits

  • Books (3-4 boxes at a time)

  • Clothing, seasonally appropriate (3-4 bags/boxes at a time)

 

Note:  Winter coats will be accepted during the months of September through March. 

 

Donation Hours

No appointment is needed to drop off donations. Items may be dropped off during the following hours: 

  • Mon - Wed - Fri 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

  • Tue - Thu 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

  • Saturday and Sunday - Closed

Where to Drop Off Items: 

  • Address:  1203 Hartford Ave, Des Moines IA 

  • The pantry is located behind the yellow building.

  • Pull up on the cement slab in front of the pantry.

  • Pantry staff will come out and grab the donations. We have someone monitoring the parking lot.
