Group Volunteer Opportunities

We welcome groups of all ages to come and help. (Children are welcome.) Together, we can impact the many that are struggling in our community.

Volunteer Group Information:

  • 2-10 volunteers

    • Accommodated daily

    • Monday through Saturday, day or evenings

  • 10-20 volunteers

    • Accommodated several times per week

    • Monday through Saturday, day or evenings

  • 20-40 volunteers

    • Accommodated on evenings and weekends, when staff is available.

We are flexible and can accommodate most schedules.

We welcome groups of up to 40 volunteers.

We often have special projects requiring large groups, and can accommodate many interests.

​

Volunteers help in a variety of ways at multiple locations:

​

  • The Home Connection Program (Hawthorn Hill)

    • Painting the interior of houses to prepare for the next family.

​

  • New Directions Shelter (Hawthorn Hill)

    • Planning children's activities​

    • Cleaning and sorting through donations

​

  • Food and Clothing Pantry (Bidwell Riverside)

    • Guiding pantry guests through the grocery aisles and stocking

    • Sorting clothing and household donations

    • Community Garden

​

  • Child Development Center (Bidwell Riverside)

    • Deep-cleaning classrooms

    • Sanitizing toys

​

  • Yard Work & Flower Beds (multiple locations)
